Ask anyone who has known me throughout my life, I always wanted to leave my hometown in the rear-view mirror after graduation. Well, I was able to not only leave the town behind, but move to a new state completely. Crazy right?! Not really. It is not too far from home (one state over and about 3 hours away from my hometown).
So, when the day finally came to pack up and move out, of course I got a late start. But once I got on the road, it was smooth sailing. The unpacking is taking longer than I thought...I'm still finding boxes around my place. But it's starting to feel comfy and like home. (Don't worry, I have everything I need to bake cookies!)
Work is great! Great place with some wonderful and talented people. I have already made friends with some of the co-workers. Plus, it hasn't been too bad switching to new ideas and standards in my field. Though like with my place, my work space is still in the settling in phase. But it is almost there...for now.
Nonetheless, moving has been a change, but nothing I cannot handle. I know I was called here for a purpose and a reason. One so far is being able to reconnect with a good friend and meeting new ones. I like to thank everyone who has helped in some way in this move: my family (duh),my coworkers, Michael, Liann, Katie, Kristen, Maddie, Joey, Megan, and anyone I might have forgotten.
Be sure to check back as I will try to keep this updated.
:)
